At Beyond Initiative, we aim to inspire and empower local individuals to become dance leaders in their communities. Our regional training camps provide an opportunity to learn from experienced DUP mentors from around the world and weave a wider network of peers. We foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where individuals can share their experiences and build lasting connections.

in Thailand

Only if we are united, do we stand a chance to overcome the global problems we face as humanity. It’s time to heal the fragmentations of society and use our differences as an enrichment rather than an impediment to our harmonic presence on Earth.
This year, 2025, the International Dances of Universal Peace Camp is taking place in Thailand for the second time after its first time in 2022. This is an opportunity for practitioners from around the world to meet, to exchange, and learn from each other through dancing and connection circles.
We invite anyone who is interested in Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) to come and experience this transformative practice in the Thai hospitality next to Thailand’s oldest national park in the Central part of Thailand. You will meet with practitioners, dance leaders, and trainers who, after the 7-day camp, will be your friends. You will also have the chance to deepen your practice as a life-long learner, a peace activist, a DUP dance-leader in training, or an Earth warrior.

in Türkiye
14 - 19 Sept 2025
The first seedings of the Dances of Universal Peace in Türkiye took place in 2018. Those seeds have sprouted, flowered, and given their fruits.
This September is the time to celebrate the sprouting life, joy, connection, peace, and harmony among the spiritual traditions and cultures of the world.
A sustainable way of life on Mother Earth, the revival of the native wisdom and shared mystical heritage and practices embracing all traditions for universal spirituality are the main pillars of this new consciousness.
Uniting the East and the West is therefore an important milestone in this process.
2025 Training Camp will be the 6th and last camp organized in Türkiye with the support of Beyond Initiative. Future camps/training camps will continue to be organized by dance leaders and aspiring leaders in Türkiye.

Training Camp
in Vietnam
1 - 7 December 2024
In 2023, around 90 people came to participate in the first regional DUP Training Camp for Asia in the Thai Hai Village, Vietnam. Participants came from countries such as South Korea, Japan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Philippines, Malaysia and many more. In 2024 we will have a team of five experienced mentors from different countries plus dancers from around the world - all coming together to support the emerging Asian leaders. There are a lot of people from different parts of the world who share this same mission in their hearts. Some are already working together to realize a more beautiful and peaceful world... Training Camp
in Türkiye
1 - 6 October 2024
In 2024, we will be hosting the fifth training camp in Türkiye for the Middle East and North African region. With more than 150 people participating from 34 countries around the world every year, this DUP Training Camp has already been instrumental in the creation of the dance circles in Tunisia, Maldives, Iran, Israel and East Asia as well as many regional circles within Türkiye. We will have different workshops including Whirling, Middle Eastern Music and Rhythm, Sema and Meshk night with guest musicians. Write to dupmiddleeast@gmail.com for more information.
